Not that these are exclusive to LJ, just that this is where I encounter them most often. I'm leaving this one post public, just as a reference point for the nosy.

-OMGSCIENTOLOGYISRUININGTHEWORLD! Is Scientology stupid? Yes. Is it a scam? Probably. Do they have some questionable practices/history? Definitely. But, folks, if the world is still in one piece after everything The Big Three have pulled, Scientology is no threat to you--promise. Plus there's this little thing called freedom of choice that gets forgotten here. No one is forced to become a Scientologist, just FYI.

-The lives of atheists are pointless/meaningless/corrupt/hedonistic/filled with baby-eating. Has anyone stopped to consider why "militant atheism" has gained popularity? Could it be because, oh, they might be tired and angry over the ridiculous, insulting and ignorant statements made about them all the time?

-There is left-wing and right-wing and nothing else. Anyone claiming to not be either is lying, dumb or in denial. I want to destroy the system--what side would you like me to stand on?

-Everything from petting my cat to eating mock meat is equal to stabbing newborn puppies in the eye. Telling vegetarians they are just murderers in denial is pretty twisted. Extremist vegans, you frighten me just as much as the people you criticize. "Extremist" bolded because I have several kind, compassionate and SANE vegan friends.

-On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, you folks who think everything will just take care of itself as you litter and waste and kill--and that you should actively try to convince others of this online. You want to be an ignorant, wasteful fool? I guess I can't stop you. But encouraging others to be that way is despicable, and beyond my comprehension.

I'm sure this list will be added to, but I'm hungry now.
